Sun VirtualBox

Hi, aside from OpenOffice or Wine, you can also use Sun VirtualBox.
Pwede ka mag-install ng windows xp then office. Ginagamit ko rin siya for iTunes.

From my experience, it's fast on top of ubuntu.
I recommend: 10gb hard drive + 768mb ram as your virtual setup.

If your documents are in your linux partition, there's no need to copy them on your virtual hard drive. You can create a "Transient Folder" which can then be found sa "My Network Places" within xp.

Sana makatulong ito. good luck! :)

Open Office Compatibility

If you have existing files created using MS Office, you may have problems when opening them using Open Office. Don't believe in the Open Office compatibility promise. If your files have graphics and special formatting, they may not be opened in its perfect state by OpenOffice. Also if your system is old, it may take a long time for OpenOffice to open (2 minutes on 1.7 GHz AthlonXP with 256MB RAM running on Ubuntu 7.04). Also if you have macros on your MSOffice files, those may be lost on OpenOffice.

Running Office 2000 on Linux

You can run MS Office 2000 on Linux using Wine. Office 2003 runs on Wine but with difficulty. Good luck.
